X Image Slicer: Split Images for Twitter Posts

9 min read

On X (Twitter), very tall or wide images can be hard to view or may not display as intended. Slicing one image into several parts lets you post a sequence that users can scroll through. This guide explains how to split an image for X and how to do it in your browser without uploading.

Why Slice for X?

X displays images in a feed; very long images get compressed or cropped. By splitting a long graphic or comic into multiple images, you control how each part is shown. Each slice becomes one tweet or one image in a thread, so the full piece is seen in order. That is useful for infographics, comics, or any tall or wide visual.

How Slicing Works

You upload the image and set how it should be split: by number of rows and columns or by fixed height/width. The tool divides the image into tiles and outputs separate image files (or one combined view you can screenshot). You then upload each part to X in order. When the tool runs in the browser, your image is not sent to a server.

Tips

  • Use a consistent aspect ratio per slice so the thread looks even.
  • Keep text and important elements within single slices so nothing is cut awkwardly.
  • Check how the slices look on mobile; X’s layout can vary by device.

Use Our Tool

Our X Image Slicer takes your image and slices it into sections sized for X posts. Upload, adjust if needed, and download the parts. Processing is in your browser; we do not store your image.
